Happy Fun Day!
Today is the day before we head to Florida for a 5-day trip to Disney World…but before we leave, I wanted to have a pseudo birthday & fun day for Jilly. The entire day was meant to be full of only fun things for Jilly (well for both of us, but mostly Jilly) to do. I woke up super early before her, around 6:00am, decorated the house in fun day/birthday attire and went to pick up a redbox Kung Fu movie and a half dozen ‘Dizzy Donuts’ (which we had never had but always talked about getting).
She came downstairs right after I finished the last touches of decorations; birthday present/card and ballons and it took her a few moments to realize what was going on, but she quickly perked up and said “I was going to be grumpy this morning but now that is all changed” after seeing the big pink donut box. We then chowed our donuts (chocolate, glaze and cake chocolate) and played the lastest Lego video game “The Hobit” together for a few hours. We followed this by making a sushi tempura lunch and then hit up the rez for the first sail of the year. All the activities of the day were a surprise for Jilly, by the way…
Overall, it was an awesome day, until 5pm rolled around and we realized we still had to pack and prep the house for our vacation departure at 430am the very next morning. So we headed home and spent the rest of the night packing. We did manage to watch the redbox movie (47 Ronin) while packing, though I fell asleep at 9pm and Jilly was left awake until about midnight packing and prepping the house (Sorry Jilly Cakes!).
But regardless, it was a super fun, fun day!
