We just got back from a super fantastic trip to Tucson, AZ and we wanted to share it with the 2 of you who read our blog. We are pretty exhausted from jet-lag, so I thought it’d be fun to reminisce before we have to go back to the normal daily grind of life.
Happy Almost Halloween!! It seems that most of you are already in the full swing of of the Halloween / Fall season. Jilly and I certainly are. Its still a week away, but we couldn’t wait to celebrate. Every year we celebrate the coming of fall and halloween with a visit to the local farm to scour for the perfect pumpkins, pet the adorable farm animals and attempt the corn maze. We follow this with the traditional KT’s BBQ feast.
Fall is on its way, the trees are starting to change color. This morning was the first morning I had to ride into work with tights, full finger gloves and a light hat to stay warm, so what does this mean…SENDING TEMPS!!! When the rock is nice and cool/cold you get much more friction with your hands and feet pressed/pulling against it. Many of the hardest routes require these types of conditions just to keep from falling off, a very delicate balance.

So its official, the whole town is shut down and closed due to massive flooding. Last night we got about a dozen texts from the local authorities, updating on rain fall/ closures/ evacuations/ warnings to get to higher ground. As I work remotely from my kitchen table, I am constantly getting updates via text msg, facebook (much better then the news) and I am live streaming the police scanner:
Many people ask us how we manage to do all the things that we do. It’s true, we pack a lot of stuff into 24 hours / 7 days a week. A big part of our active lifestyle stems from what and how we eat. And lets be honest, who doesn’t LOVE food?
