What’s BB&B stand for you ask? Why bed and breakfast and boat show that we just attended (3 weeks ago) via Newport Rhode Island! We have been so busy since we got back that only now have we managed to put up all the wonderful photos and share the adventure with you, our avid readers (all 3 of you!).

We actually planned this trip over 9 months ago when we were sailing in Annapolis, MD. I have been so curious to go to a boat show since we started sailing, and learned that the Newport, RI show is the most famous one of all. So we bought our tickets almost a year in advance (since it fills up fast), and made a little vacation out of it.

I have to preface that building the bed in the back of our van was the BEST idea of 2014. It has become a vital tool for us to harness our ‘Jake and Jill spirit for adventure’ and has motivated us to start ticking off the local Colorado hot-spots that are NOT climbing related. After a few trips to Moab, UT, we really wanted to go someplace closer to home. This weekend, we went to Dillon, CO; It couldn’t have done a better job at satisfying our need for fun.

Our memorial day was extra special because my ‘pseudo-estranged’ brother, Mike, and his mistress, (..okay girlfriend) 😉 Jessica, hung out with us in Boulder for a few days after their whirlwind 2-week binge through the American Southwest. Just like anyone who visits, we always try to give a little taste of the ‘Jake and Jill’ experience.
