We had a pretty nice and mellow-ish week this week (which hasn’t been the story of late). I started school a few weeks ago and it turns out that its a lot harder than I anticipated, but hopefully I’ll come away from it with more high-paying jobs than before. Besides a few days of studious behavior, it was a slower week than normal. We had a show this past friday which went pretty good. We played in the heart of Denver, which we’ve never done, and probably never will do again. It just isn’t really our scene, but made some decent chang-chang so I guess we can’t complain there. This weekend we went to see Ballet Neuveau Colorado with live music by Paper Bird (which is a pretty popular band here in Colorado) with Aunt Mary. The show was excellent, and I’m not usually a huge fan of ballet but this format was really amazing! The music was awesome and the dancing even better….loved it! Can’t wait to see another show.
We are doing some massive cleaning to our place, since our Landlord is going to be selling when we move out in August. We are looking forward to moving to a new place, hopefully we will find one that lives up to our expectations and our budget! Oh and other good news, we FINALLY finished our album; Trinidad Volume 1, which we will be sending off to the presses next week for final production. That means we may have a tangible record in the next two weeks (CAN’T WAIT!)….we are really excited to be finished with the process it was very exhausting and time-consuming. Hopefully it will leave us open to some climbing and camping adventures ahead.
Today is super pretty. I was doing some gardening in our somewhat, ill-tended garden and happened upon a totally random crop of garlic. It looks and smells AMAZING! I’m so glad I didn’t throw it in the weed-pile with all the others. I hope to enjoy some more of it right now.
